General Info:
The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan.

  The unit was spotlessly clean, quiet, had a lovely balcony view of the grounds and ocean right out front, plus an inviting pool. A friendly security guard greeted us warmly upon our arrival after midnight, and provided helpful information about checking in.
  We particularly appreciated two separate potties in our unit--a first! Kitchen was well appointed and modern, and the pool was clean. The lawn ran out to the beach, which was sandy and very pretty.
  Beyond this, Kihei is an attractive area to visit. There are many beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping areas, a farmers' market and much much more.
  Hats off to Summer from Maui Sunset, who retrieved a forgotten item and arranged to hold it for us to pick up later. Thanks to management for allowing us a late check out, which we appreciated since our initial flight to Maui was cancelled, leading to our late arrival and shortened stay. We will be back for a longer stay in the future! Two tips: enter the street address in your gps/phone to locate the property, especially after dark, and note that the A or B of your room number indicates which of two parking lots is adjacent to your room. Have your room number, and the door code, at the ready when you arrive, as the "front desk" is only open 12:30 to 5:30 pm

  One bedroom with a pull or couch and a single Murphy bed. The kitchen is well stocked. Two bathrooms makes it easy to have more people.
